Program Philosophy

Program Philosophy

Kackaamin Family Development Centre is dedicated to a holistic approach to individual and family healing and growth. We believe in the intrinsic value of each human being and that every individual has the power of healing within.

We are dedicated to a holistic approach to individual and family healing. We value each human being as unique and believe in individuals’ potential for growth.

We are aware that addiction is often a result of unresolved traumas, such as abuse or even complicated attachment with caregivers in childhood. By increasing knowledge about trauma, triggers, healthy attachment and coping skills, we have faith that people can recover.

We believe in the healing power of the Circle and of community, for we are all interconnected and “Connection is the Correction”.
